Research & Education

Guardian Labs Research & Education explains how research peptides are tested and documented, and how to judge what a supplier shows you. Each guide starts with a short, direct answer, followed by the details.

Guardian Labs is an Idaho-based supplier of research peptides. We publish third-party Certificates of Analysis and HTML batch testing records for our products on the Certificates of Analysis page.

COA & Testing

  • What Should a Peptide COA Contain? — A complete peptide Certificate of Analysis names the product, lot number, testing laboratory, test date, identity result, purity result and test methods. Here is what each part means.
  • How to Read a Peptide COA — A step-by-step guide to reading a peptide Certificate of Analysis: check the header, match the lot, then read the identity, purity, content and safety results against their specifications.
  • Identity Testing vs. Purity Testing — Identity testing confirms what a sample is; purity testing measures how much of it is that compound. A reliable peptide COA needs both.
  • Why Batch-Specific Testing Matters — Each production batch can differ. A batch-specific COA ties results to the lot you receive; a generic COA only shows that one sample passed at one point in time.
  • How to Verify Third-Party Lab Testing — To verify a COA, confirm the lab exists, check the report through the lab’s own verification system or by contacting it, and match the lot number to your vial.

Purity

  • How Peptide Purity Testing Works — Peptide purity is usually measured by HPLC: the sample is separated on a column and the area of the main peak is compared with all detected peaks. Here is how it works and what it can miss.
  • What Does ≥99% Purity Mean? — "≥99% purity" means at least 99% of the material detected by the test method was the target peptide. It does not by itself confirm identity, quantity or sterility.

Choosing a Supplier

  • How to Evaluate a Research Peptide Supplier — A checklist for evaluating research peptide suppliers: batch-specific third-party COAs, identity and purity testing, verifiable labs, clear company information, compliant marketing and responsive support.
  • How Research Peptide Suppliers Differ — Research peptide suppliers differ in testing depth, batch transparency, sourcing, documentation, compliance and support. Here are the differences that matter most.

Storage & Handling

  • How Research Peptides Should Be Stored and Handled — Lyophilized research peptides are best stored cold, dry and away from light. Reconstituted peptides are usually refrigerated, used within a defined period and protected from repeated freeze–thaw cycles.
